Today I was leaving my school, I pulled out of my spot and a Van started backing out of its parking space so I stopped. Then directly to my left an Accord started backing out of its spot. And didn't stop. The van just started moving forward so I hit the gas and narrowly avoided that.
Then I went to go pick up my brother at the middle school. There were some cop cars blocking the carpool lane so we had to go around. This lady in a Corolla is in front of me, stopped and just started backing up. Kept going until I realized she was about to hit me so I honked my horn and she hit the brakes. She was barley an inch or two from my bumper. She proceeded to get mad and spun her tires looking for a parking spot.
Why is it so hard for people to look behind them when backing up? And why do close calls like these always happen in school parking lots?! Back in High School I got rear ended when all the cars were standing still! I really don't understand how anyone manages not to see a car in front or behind them, especially a bright yellow Mustang.
Oh, and I saw a kid get arrested at the middle school. Don't know why though.
I really needed to rant. Here's my Mach at a car show.

I once had someone back into us because we were behind them on a side street turning onto a major street. They pulled out into the street, then decided traffic was too close and threw it in reverse, and backed straight into us, despite a) my dad laying on the horn, and b) us not having moved.

The other day this also happened to me, an idiot was backing out of his space, so i stopped with like 2 car lengths, then the idiot never stopped backing up and he started to get closer and closer so i realized the stupid fuck wasn't looking behind, and honked at the idiot. He then looks out the window, sees me and moved forward. What i think the idiot was trying to do, was going the wrong way to get faster to the exit but the parking lot has has some arrows that point which way you should go, like this. I was very annoyed by that idiot. If he was trying to do that, how the fuck doesn't he look behind.

The owner was really cool. It was his first real car since he always drove work vans. He tracks it regularly and was really nice.

I would have been so mad if that happened to me. Especially after laying on the horn.

Ya, it truly amazes me that people can't look behind them. Especially in any parking lot, what if there was a person behind you? That would make matters much worse.

My dad was hilarious. It did almost no damage to our car, she had 2 little holes in her bumper, and when she gout out to apologize and give her insurance info, he basically said, "Don't worry about it, I don't have time for this anyway" and drove off.

Right, im sure most of them look behind, and now even more with those cars with the rear view cameras, but we have the tough luck of bumping into the assholes.
